„I want a nicer smile“

A nicer smile, without overdoing it

A nice smile doesn't have to mean perfectly white, identical teeth. Often it comes down to small things: a tooth shorter than its neighbour, a small gap, a chipped corner or an old filling that has darkened. That is why we first ask what bothers you, and then look for the smallest procedure that fixes it. Sometimes whitening or composite is enough; sometimes veneers are needed. We don't suggest filing down healthy teeth if there is a gentler way.

Why it usually happens

  • Old fillings on the front teeth that have darkened
  • Worn or shortened teeth, often from grinding
  • Small gaps or teeth of different sizes
  • Chipped edges on the front teeth
  • A naturally darker or uneven colour

What we can do

  • Composite bonding

Using tooth-coloured material, we add what is missing, close small gaps or repair edges. The tooth usually isn't filed down, and the work can be added to or adjusted later.

  • Ceramic veneers

Thin ceramic shells are bonded to the front of the teeth. They keep their colour and shine well, but a thin layer of enamel has to be filed away, so it is not a decision to make in a hurry.

  • Crowns

When a front tooth is badly damaged or has a large filling, a veneer isn't enough, so a crown covers the whole tooth. For visible teeth we usually suggest zirconia, because its colour blends in well with the neighbouring teeth.

  • Whitening before anything else

If only the colour bothers you, we start with whitening. If you are also planning veneers, whitening is done first, so the new veneers can be matched to the lighter shade.

How it works with us

  1. 01

    Conversation

We ask what bothers you and what you would like to see. We photograph your smile from several angles.

  2. 02

    Checking teeth and gums

Cosmetic work only makes sense on healthy teeth, so first we check for decay, gum problems and your bite.

  3. 03

    Trial smile

Before any filing, we use temporary material to show you how the new shape would look in your mouth. At this stage you can still change your mind.

  4. 04

    Making the restorations

For composite, one longer visit is enough. Ceramic veneers and crowns are made in a dental lab, so two to three visits are needed.

  5. 05

    Check-up after a few weeks

We check your bite and speech, and a few weeks later you come back so we can see how your gums are settling around the new work.

How long it takes

Composite bonding is usually finished in one visit, while ceramic veneers and crowns take two to three visits over two to three weeks.

After treatment

Clean veneers and crowns just like your own teeth, with floss or an interdental brush. Don't bite your nails, pens or packaging with your front teeth. Composite can darken at the edges over time, so we polish it at check-ups. If you grind your teeth at night, a night guard protects both your teeth and the new work. Get in touch if a veneer moves or you feel a sharp edge.

What it costs

A composite veneer costs RSD 14,000–18,000, a ceramic (E-max) veneer RSD 34,000–44,000 per tooth, and a zirconia crown RSD 30,000–38,000. In-clinic whitening is RSD 28,000. The total depends mainly on the number of teeth, and a consultation for veneers and crowns costs RSD 4,500.

Common questions

Do veneers ruin your teeth?

Ceramic veneers require a thin layer of enamel to be filed away, and that layer doesn't grow back. That is why we only suggest them when gentler options can't fix what bothers you.

How long do veneers last?

With good care, ceramic veneers usually last for many years; composite ones don't last as long and need polishing from time to time. How long they last depends on your bite, habits and care.

Can I see how I'll look before we start?

Yes. Before any filing, we make a trial smile in temporary material directly on your teeth, so you decide once you have seen the new shape in the mirror.
