Profile
Dr Teodora Nikolić is a specialist in orthodontics, the field that deals with straightening teeth and correcting the bite. She works with children from the age of seven and with adults. With every patient she first assesses whether treatment is really needed or whether it is enough to monitor how the teeth and jaws develop. Before starting, she shows how the teeth would move and roughly how long treatment would take.
With children she makes sure the first visits are short and unhurried, so the child can get used to the clinic. She tells adults openly what clear aligners can realistically achieve and where fixed braces work better. She works with Dr Ristić when a patient needs to move their teeth slightly before veneers or crowns. She speaks Serbian, English and German.
I first show a child the little mirror and the toothbrush, and only then everything else, because trust matters more than speed.
