Workshop

The workshop on Dobračina Street

A small jewellery workshop in Dorćol with a street-level showroom. Everything on the website is made here, from the wax model to the final polish.

Model and casting

From wax to silver

Most pieces start as a wax model, shaped by hand and with carving tools. The model is then cast in 925 sterling silver: an alloy of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper, which gives the silver strength.

That’s why pieces from the River collection are never quite identical: every model carries the mark of a hand.

Assembly

Soldering, stones, clasps

We join the parts by soldering with a flame, then set the stones. Every stone is checked under a loupe before it goes into its setting, and prongs are rounded so they don’t catch on clothes.

We check clasps and jump rings twice, because a clasp is the most common reason jewellery gets lost.

Finishing

Shine is done by hand

We polish in several stages, from a coarse brush to a soft cloth. Some pieces are oxidised so the patina brings out the pattern, and some get a thin rhodium layer that slows tarnishing.

Finally, every piece is stamped with the 925 hallmark.

Neighbourhood

What we see on the way to work

Fans above windows, stars on gates, scrolls on balcony railings: the Dorćol collection grew out of motifs from the buildings around the workshop. We carry them into jewellery with old techniques, filigree and granulation.

Packaging

Ready to give

Every piece arrives in a box, with a polishing cloth and a care card. If you choose gift wrapping, we add a ribbon and a card with your message, and leave the price out of the parcel.
